Project Manager energy analysis and modelling
Georgios Zazias has over 7 years of experience in the fields of energy system and climate change analysis. He is currently leading the energy modelling team of E3-Modelling as the principal coordinator and day-to-day manager of the activities undertaken using the PRIMES energy system model, including design, implementation and analysis of policy scenarios for the European energy system. He is also participating in the execution of a number of projects for the European Commission, national governments and other private and public domain institutions, including policy impact assessments studies. Georgios is also experienced in transport sector modelling and scenarios aiming in the decarbonisation of passenger and freight mobility. Before joining E3-Modelling, he worked in the International Energy Agency (IEA), in the team responsible for producing the “World Energy Outlook” flagship publication. Georgios holds an Electrical and Computer Engineering degree from the department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) and a MSc on Sustainable Energy Technologies from the University of Southampton. In parallel with his work for E3-Modelling, he is also a PhD candidate at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in the field of energy and climate economics, with his core research topic focusing on the modelling of power markets integrating prosumers and aggregators.
