Senior consultant energy economy analysis and modelling
Nikolaos Kouvaritakis has accumulated over 40 years of experience in energy modelling and quantitative analysis as a support to strategic planning and policy making. He has been involved in a wide range of projects dealing with modelling studies performed for the EU Commission, government agencies and industrial companies. In the past he has been Research Associate of the University of Birmingham, Energy Consultant with Economic Models Ltd., Vice President of DRI Europe, Energy Modelling Expert for the Commission of the European Communities, Principal Administrator of the Economic Analysis Division of the International Energy Agency, key Independent Participant in three large projects financed by the JOULE Programme (Commission of the European Union, DG XII) relating to Energy, Technology and the Environment and Visiting Scientist with the IPTS in Seville where he undertook the execution of a number of projects for DG Research, DG Environment and DG TREN. Nikolaos holds a MSc in Economic Planning from the University of Birmingham, UK.
