Stergios Statharas is a member of the transport team of E3-Modelling and his experience lie in the field of the energy and transport economics. He particularly focuses on the linkages between the electrification of the transport sector and the electricity sector. He also contributes to the quantification of transport projections that support impact assessments studies of the European Commission and the maintenance and continuous updating of the PRIMES-TREMOVE model. Stergios participates in the construction and quantification of policy scenarios covering the entire energy system of EU and non-EU countries that have been used in the preparation of national energy and climate strategies. He holds a diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technological University of Athens (NTUA) and is a PhD candidate with his core research focusing on the impacts of the electric vehicle recharging on the electricity system.
