Transport analyst and modeller
Dr. Ioannis Moysoglou joined E3-Modelling in 2017 and is a member of the transport modelling team specializing on the modelling and analysis of policies applied on the transport sector. He performs model developments and improvements and he has recently enriched the capabilities of the model by adding mechanisms to represent emission performance standards on trucks manufacturers. This has enabled the E3-modelling transport team to participate in impact assessment studies of the European Commission regarding the uptake or update of regulations on the performance standards of light- and heavy- duty vehicles. He also contributes to the development, maintenance and operation of the PRIMES-biomass model, which links bioenergy demand with the agricultural and forestry system. Ioannis has experience in Mathematical Programming and Modelling, Approximation Algorithms and Computational Complexity, Algorithmic Game Theory and Graph Theory. He holds a BSc in Computer Science, an MSc in Theoretical Computer Science and a PhD in Mathematical Optimization and Hardness of Approximation from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
